Garry's nomination story

Garry Left the armed forces in 2004 and moved back to his home village of Ardersier, he immediately became involved with the local Army Cadet Force detachment in the village and over the last 7 years has kept the unit running, often on his own, he comes home from work (working as a learning disabilities/ mental health support worker) has a quick meal and turn around before heading to the unit to get ready for the arrival of the 12 - 18 year old's that turn up for training, he has often become a unofficial social worker for the kids of the village and is always ready to help where necessary, even as a registered member of the girl guides association!!. Garry also has his own 2 daughters to spend time with and is completing a Open University degree, but his dedication to the kids of Ardersier is unwavering!! though often challenged as he would say with a joke.
