Garreth's nomination story

Garreth Wood is a trustee for the Wood family trust - www.woodfamilytrust.org In 2011 he won the Maggie Wilson Voluntary Service award for Philanthropy. Over the next 3 years Garreth has committed to donating £100,000 to VSA. He sits on the fundraising committee for both the Meningitis Foundation and Voluntary Services Aberdeen In 2011 Garreth raised £18,000 for the British Heart Foundation by taking part in and winning the Gumball 3000 Rally. In 2009 he won the James Melville award for corporate fundraising. In addition to all his fundraising activities garreth still finds the time to be an Ambassador for the Prince's Trusts - "Get into Program" and is heavily involved in the Youth and Philanthropy imitative throughout Scotland. Of the £100,000, three year commitment to VSA, they have already given £68,000 as part of that agreement with one more year remaining
