Garnet Mackinder

Garnet has played rugby for England 7s and is inspiring others by going back to her old club and coaching and encouraging girls to play.I have played rugby for England U20s and 7s and am putting my experience and knowledge back into the community by going back to my old rugby club to coach and inspire other young girls to take up rugby. I recently went to my previous club Exeter Saracens and donated my England shirt and it is now framed and hung on the wall in the clubhouse. I started playing quite late so I want to show other girls that it is possible to make it to the top and it's never too late. My dream is to compete in the 2016 Olympics for Great Britain in Rugby 7s and I feel that carrying the Olympic flame would be a great beginning to my journey.
