Gareth Young

When Gareth first became involved in Voice of Young People in Care (VOYPIC) he was a shy young man. Just over a year and half later Gareth is represent young people views and opinions to the VOYPIC board of directors through the young reps. Gareth has spoke out at conferences sharing his experiences of care to give professionals and young people a like a better understanding of the issues that young people in care face and how the might be better supported in dealing with them. Gareth has given inspiration to other young people showing them that you can achieve anything if you are willing to work at it and if at first you don't succeed that you must keep trying but most importantly Gareth has shown other young people the importance of not just respecting people around them but respecting yourself.
