Gabriella Rogers

With her dad away regularly, Gabriella takes it upon herself to help care for her younger brother, Daniel, who has autism. Naturally this puts a strain on the family due to the demanding nature of the condition. Gabriella consistently exhibits tolerance, patience and understanding when Daniel is finding life difficult. Demonstrating friendship, Gabriella becomes the peacekeeper, being aware of the methods to use to calm Daniel down. As a member of the Desmond Anderson Young Carers Group, Gabriella has developed a passion for volunteering and plans on helping with a local charity when she turns 14. . . Gabriella demonstrates a mutual respect for all people she comes into contact with, both disabled and able-bodied. This is shown through her calm, unassuming personality, ability to offer a hand in friendship and a commitment to everything she does. Gabriella is an outstanding young lady who truly deserves her moment to shine. .
