Gabby Broadhurst

Gabby (who is my sister) suddenly lost her 19 year old son, David green, last december. David died from Adult Sudden death Syndrome. Up until the day David died he had been a strong athlete, playing both Hockey and Football for local Bognor regis teams. 12 young people a week die from undiagnosed heart diseases. Since losing david, Gabby has dedicated her time and efforts to fund raising and raising awareness for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) She got together a team of runners for Bognors 10k race, she is running the Great North Run in Sept and there have been many other events also, Charitable hockey matches, bungy jumps etc. She along with her supporters have raised well over £10,000 and the fund raising continues. She has turned her grief into something positive which will hopefully prevent more unnecessary deaths of our young people I can't think of a better nominee.
