The person i am nominating is my Uncle. He is a youth worker in the Perth and Kinross area and he has changed the lives of so many young people including myself. He has an incredible skill of relating to young people and helping them become the best they can be through hardwork, discipline and having fun. He encourages them to explore talents they have and finds resources to help make this possible. He runs an event in his hometown of Aberfeldy called Breathe which brings all the young people together for events of Live Music, Dance, Games ( Inflatable Assault Courses ) BBQ's etc When most people are in watching tv after a hard days work he is out creating opportunities for the youth in his area and giving them a place to develop their talents and meet new friends. Our young people are our next generation, our future leaders, politicians, teachers, doctors and entertainers. Without someone to believe in them so many people will miss out on what life really has to offer for them, thats why Franny Mcgrath truly is a local hero. If thats not enough in the little spare time he has he likes to take part in triathlons, marathons and various cycling events so i know it would be a great honour for him to carry the Olympic Flame. He has been a huge inspiration in my life and the lives of many others, he has instilled in us that if we want something we can truly Make It Happen by setting goals and a lot of hardwork.
