Frances's nomination story

Mum has been a nurse, ward sister, midwife, district nurse, family planning nurse,School Nurse, setter up of drop in sex education clinic for teenagers at local comprehensive school, foot clinic nurse (set up by Devon County Council)daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, mother, grandmother, step mother, step grandmother, carer (on 5 different occasions and over a 30 year period), parish councillor and treasurer, fund raiser for Cancer Research UK and Heartswell Southwest, enthusiastic recycler for over 50 years, winner of an environmental award for her village, hall committee member, (obtaining lottery grant) She won a gold medal in 1952 from the Queen Mother for being the best Nurse in her year at Westminster Hospital. She is entirely selfless and embodies this in her day to day life. She has made a massive difference in her community in so many ways.
