Hello. I am Florence Rowe and I am 81 years old. When I was 18 years old I remember flocking to the London streets to welcome the Olympics, I would love to be a part of it now, reversing the numbers from 18 to now 81. I was born and bred in Willesden, NW10 number four of seven children to Florence and James Jenkins. I was given my mum`s name Florence and we had a very happy family home. At the age of nine I was evacuated to Northampton along with my 3 sisters. I can clearly remember the excitement of the 1948 Olympic Games, and how proud I was to see it come through London. The opportunity to part of the Olympic Games i any way at the age of 81 would be a dream come true for me and I would love to be able to represent those of us in our golden years. I am a football fanatic - supporting the mighty Wycombe Wanderers. I know Wycombe Wanderers are no Manchester United, but I follow them to every home and away game up and down the country, last year 80th Birthday I was made the oldest football league football the mighty blues. I like to think of myself as a recycled teenager rather than an OAP, I try to keep up with technology.
