Carrying the Flame on | |

I have had the pleasure of knowing Felix and his wonderful family for almost all of his life. He is a truly inspirational young man who is a gifted and talented sportsman, excelling at football, rugby and especially Cricket where he plays at a high level for his age. I believe that he represents some of the best qualities that have made this country great. He embodies hard work, achievement and personality and deserves recognition. He has also organised charity fun runs that have raised thousands of pounds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust - a charity that is close to the heart of his family. I can personally think of no better person to carry the Olympic flame in 2012 and will be proud to watch him run by - as will his family.Russ has omitted the main reason he wanted to nominate Felix because he is being delicate. His 8 yr old sister Rose died of cancer six months ago after a 3 year illness. I would love the chance to write more but no space left -Felix has been so brave
