Faye has always loved her sport of athletics and her dedication to it has never faltered even through a terrible knee injury. To train at the local track she has to travel on 2 ferries and a 2 hour car journey (thats one way!) and she does this weekly. She is a local lifeguard at our sports centre and has started many people on their journey with fitness through her classes of aerobics, spinning and more recently she has started a beginners running club! She never sends anyone away no matter whatever their level of fitness, she includes everyone and makes sure we all keep smiling. In her spare time Faye is in the local Voluterary Coastguard rescue team and is a huge supporter for Help For Heroes and has recently held a cycle fundraiser where she taught and trained 14 people to cycle for 4hrs non stop on Spinning bikes whiched raised over £3000!! I would like Faye to have this moment to shine because she always thinks of others befors herself and has been a true inspiration for many people in our local community to take up sport and love it as much as she does. I know that when she was younger she dreamed of being in the women's 100m final but she got a knee injury which stopped that but through her commitmnet she is now setting her sites for the commonwhealth games in Glasgow and is representing shetland at the Isalnd Games this year. Pleae give her this opportunity to be part of the games she loves so much!
