Faye's nomination story

(Clarks) In 2009, Fay whilst 8 months pregant was involved in a car accident, which resulted in the tragic loss of her husband, Sam. Faye suffered a shattered pelbis and her daughter Bethan, who was 1 year old, injured her arm. Faye was flown by air ambulance to hospital and the vital minutes that were spared have been credited to saving both her life and that of her son Isaac, who was safely delivered at hospital. In 2010, Faye raised over £15K for Air Ambulance by completing the three peaks challenge. In 2011, Faye raised over £10k by organising an charity auction in Glastonbury. In addition to this, Faye actively contributes to the community through volunteering on a nursery school committee and teaching Sunday school. For overcoming challenges, celebrating life and working for the benefit of others, Faye is an inspiration to us and represents the Olympic spirit.
