This bright and enthusiastic 15 year old has inspired me to nominate her after seeing her dedication and commitment to her local community. She has a zest for life and brings enjoyment to whatever she does; whether it is at school or out in the community. Working hard to obtain her GSCEs this young person divides her time between after school sports, such as netball, and partaking as an explorer at her local scouting organisation; which she helped found with the support of her father and scout leaders. This young person was first introduced to the scouting network as a child, but has progressed through the ranks, partaking in group camps, tasks and working closely in connection with her local church. As a young leader this individual is now aiming towards achieving her Duke of Edinburgh bronze award, contributing and planning for group trips and camps as well as helping others in the younger sub-divisions (such as Beavers and Cubs). Her devotion to the scouting community has seen her selected as one of five to attend the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden, as a representative for the Medway Towns; fundraising over £2,250 in support of this. She has since gone on to become a part of the World Challenge, set in Morocco, where she must travel on a mountain trek with others her age, before partaking in charitable events within the local area. I urge you to consider this individual as an Olympic torchbearer as she has fun and zealous character and deserves recognition. I did not help found the explorer group, i did give input however it was not enough for me to claim recognition for founding it.
