Evanna Lynas

Evanna is in year S5 at St Pauls RC High School. Having joined in August 2007. Evanna has overcame adversity in her life having been in foster care for 7 years now, Evanna was responsible for St Pauls becoming the first school in Scotland to be accredited with the certificate in Participative Democracy. A real honour for the school and would not have been possible without her public speaking skills, knowledge, drive, desire and reliability. She recently gained a seat as a member of the Scottish Youth Parliament. She created a fundraising campaign to raise money for a large group of pupils and staff to visit' the Scottish Parliament. She was a founding member of the schools SPEC group, instigated and led a number of campaigns including ` Ban Trans Fats` in foods. As part of the campaign Evanna has written to a number of MPS and had replies back from Jack McConnell. Evanna Plays a pivotal role in the success of the school and is a energetic, caring and shining role model to other pupils
