Ethan Walton

Ethan is 12 years old. He was elected onto the North Tyneside youth Council. He is an active member of the council and participates with enthusiasm. He is keen on sports, and actively encourages school friends to participate. He currently plays basketball for north sheilds basketball club, rugby for Whitley Bay Barbarians and is a a member of the Decote Dance troup. He also plays basket ball and cricket for his school. Ethan has ran in the junior great north run and completed 5 mile cancer runs raising money for charity for the past few years. He has been nominated by his school as a gifted and tallented athlete. He is also a member of the local scout group and holds a number of badges. He is looking forward to the 2012 Olympics immensly. In my opinion he would be a very worthy touch bearer. Carrying the olympic flame would provide Ethan with an unforgettable life time experience. Since this was submitted I have been selected into the Newcastle Eagles under 13 squad, this is an elite basketball squad of the best players from teams that play within the North East League. The season is about to start and I am very excited.
