Errol has been an east London garage owner for over 20 years. When I first moved there I was wary of him as he's a big black guy, but I could not have been more wrong! Errol is community spirit personified. On any given day, he can be seen at Cremer Garage in E2, keeping an eye out for, and on, the local residents. Errol is a role model for young people in an area where it is really needed. He is always giving advice and guidance to the local youngsters, teaching them respect, including self respect and enouraging them to better themselves. Despite being 54 years old and recovering from major surgery, he still finds time to coach youth football. In the evenings and weekends, he can be found coaching the youth team and under 18's at Leyton Orient FC. Errol is already a metaphorical torch bearer for the youths and local residents, so let's make him a real torch bearer for London 2012.
