Erika Cunningham

My mum has taught for over 25 years in Britain. At Gwernyfed High School she made such a difference to children's lives, always inspiring the youngsters in her charge, and never condeming them, no matter what their problems. Young adults say how much she helped; without her extra free help and hours going over and helping them understand the English language and its importance in a FUN way, they say they would surley have failed, some received an A instead of Predicted C's or D's having jobs now in writing / newspapers etc. Since my dad passed away she has been such a great mum, helping with my brother's depression and helping me to take over, and build up the business of running a craft centre in mid- Wales. Without her we would surley not be in a happy place right now. I see how hard my mum holds the family together, it brings a tear to my eye.
