Emmanuelle Assmann

Emmanuelle has been shaped by sport both personally and professionally. Sport has (re)taught her what she was really capable of and gave her the desire to constantly strive towards new goals. Now a retired sportswoman (former wheelchair fencing athlete), she uses her experience to develop sport, especially within the French Federation for Disabled Sports. She tries to ensure that sport is always something that makes one dream (in relation to the Olympic and Paralympic Games), but without losing sight of its role as a vehicle for the integration for all individuals, particularly those in difficult situations (disability, exclusion), and she is passionate about this!
