My daughter,EMMA , is an inspiration to me. Described as a 'Stick of Rock' with RNLI through her bones. From her teens she persistently asked to join Lymington Lifeboat Crew No girls - Not perturbed - She volunteered her skills and was fully trained and accepted by all. BRAVE - Finding school a challenge, she overcame her difficulties to become Head Girl. Despite her dyslexia she persevered and acheived a degree in Watersports Management. Today, she works for Human Resources, RNLI in Poole after working previously as a lifeguard on the beach. She is a volunteer crew member for Poole RNLI . She has lovingly helped and encouraged her partner after his skiing accident last year. She keeps fit and healthy and has run the Cancer Research Race for Life(Bournemouth) raising over £300. - a good warm up for this event! She's a great role model for young people - showing strength in embracing her difficulties and persistently following her dream to volunteer and work for the RNLI. LOVING and GIVING, BRAVE and STRONG. CARING and SHARING,JUST and FAIR. I know my daughter,EMMA, would PROUDLY carry the torch high in the air.
