Emma-Jayne's nomination story

Emma has acted as an assistant coach for the last year of Sport4NRG Streetdance. Emma used to attend as a participant with her friend. When we ran the Dance Leaders Award, Emma signed up and passed. Since then, she has been encouraging young girls from her school to attend. Speaking with younger pupils at school is not seen as 'cool' but that didn't stop Emma going out of her way to spread the word about Streetdance classes. She then supports all the new participants who attend by practising with them, offering good feedback and speaking to them like a big sister would, she is a great role model and very passionate about Streetdance and StreetGames. Emma's enthusiasm and respect for the younger girls ensures they have a great time and return week after week. Emma has a positive impact on the lives of girls who reside from a deprived ward.
