Emma is an inspirational person. Whilst at school she wrote to the local council about lack of playground facilities for the children in the village, which were then renewed. Our local council representative who has just retired said that the letter had been his inspiration for the last 11 year and that he had gone on to raised £80,000 for another new play area. At University she saved a homeless person who had thrown himself in the river and knocked himself out from drowning, by jumping in the river and getting him to the bank. She was a teacher in Birmingham for 4 years and did an after school club every night for the children as they were from disadvantaged backgrounds, this included getting a grant for £10,000 to subsidise these clubs and also included training at Aston Villa. She is now a teacher at Madley Brook School in Witney and has been classed as outstanding for her teaching methods.
