Emily-jane's nomination story

Emily Cramphorn has only just turned 17. She has over the last couple of years dedicated herself to making change happen for Children suffering from serious, debilitating mental illness. She suffered with Anorexia for almost 5 years after being bullied at school & spent almost 3 years in & out of hospital. She is determined to selflessly support other suffers through an on line blog, e-mailing personally to provide encouragement & help when it's needed most. Emily was nominated by many sufferers from all over the UK for a national award for inspiring others to recover. She won the award. Not only did Emily recover from a life threatening illness herself but she refuses to ignore other sufferers & tirelessly campaigns for change. She is so inspirational & has been on national tv & has bravely told her very personal story to the press in order to show others that recovery is possible. To top it all Emily launched her own support group for 10-17 year olds, this is the first in the UK. She is such an incredible young lady & has already inspired so many young people to take the first steps of recovery by giving so much of her time. Emily is passionate about helping others & trying to prevent unnecessary suffering for others. She is an ambassador for B-eat & also for Young Minds. I feel that she is to be applauded for her amazing contribution to others & how much of an inspiration she has become to so many, Emily is a wonderful, modest young lady who has already achieved so much.I am not an ambassador for young minds. (I am a B-eat Young ambassador!)
