Lloyds TSB, proud Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, has selected pupils from FitzWimarc School to be Olympic Torchbearers as part of National School Sport Week. . . FitzWimarc School have used the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to develop sporting talent across the school. National School Sport Week has been particularly inspirational with all lessons starting with video based starters of a range of traditional and alternative sports, with lessons having a sports theme. We consult with our students regularly about activities they would like to take part in and we have introduced new activities including Mountain Biking, Dodgeball, Tchoukball, Hooping, Skipping, Girls Rugby, and Handball.  This has enabled more students to access activities making them healthier and physical active.  Many of our students are active leaders and volunteer with activities at school and in the community with 23 young people being involved as School Games Volunteers at the Greater Manchester School Games in July and helping others to achieve their personal best.
