Elizabeth Stones

Elizabeth deserves to have her moment to shine as she is a little star in our community. For ten years she has selflessly fundraised for MedEquip4kids, a north of England children's charity, by taking part in international treks around the world. The Sahara, Peru, Morocco and the Grand Canyon are a few of many places which she has visited. November 2011 sees Elizabeth taking part in her tenth adventure in aid of the charity by trekking across the Sinai Desert. The majority of Elizabeth's fundraising is through tombola's in hospitals and the local community as well as giving talks about her adventures to groups raising £25,000 to date. Elizabeth, who celebrates her 72nd birthday in May is well known for her fantastic welcoming hugs and beaming smile which she takes with her wherever she goes in the world.
