Elizabeth Stanfield

Liz would make a fantastic torch bearer, she is a caring, inspirational and supportive person who does many things locally and internationally. In the past she visited Tanzania to support a local school taking gifts to the children of Africa. She also completed the 3 peaks on her own to raise money for Oxfam. Locally she helped set up a ladies running group "Crosby Stormers". In 18 months there are over 100 ladies who are part of this group and 50 ladies who frequently run together on a weekly basis. Many of these ladies began as non-runners and with Liz's support and enthusiasm they can now run over 3 miles. Liz inspired me to encourage my own sister, and after only 6 months she has turned her life around, embraced a healthy lifestyle and is due to complete a 5k race for cancer research - something she never believed she was capable of. Liz's enthusiasm is infectious, she encourages every-one to believe in themselves across all aspects of their life and is amazing at bringing people together in a positive way
