Elizabeth Pickworth

At first glance this lady seems representative of many women in England, juggling part time work with looking after her family. If you were to take the time to know her you would realise that she really is an inspiration. Over the past few years not only has she supported her eldest daughter through radiotherapy for a brain tumour but also her husband through chemotherapy straight afterwards. Not only this but her other daughter has been ill with severe depression and she has (as always) taken great care of her too. In the face of all her personal turmoil she still has time for her friends and other family with a ready smile. She also works hard at the local hospital as a nurse whilst being an active member of her local community. On the surface she seems like any other working mother but take a closer look (and it will have to be close for she never complains) and you will see a beautifully strong woman who always puts the needs of others before herself
