Elizabeth's nomination story

I would like to nominate Elizabeth to be a Torchbearer. She is the most selfless person I know and is always putting the needs of others before her own without giving it a second thought. I met her many years ago while she was studying dance and she is now a community dance teacher for Dancefest, constantly bringing out the best in her students. I've watched many of the performances by her groups from young and old, able-bodied or disabled and the enthusiasm they instil into the pieces is down to the passion that Elizabeth pours into them. The amount of gifts and cards she receives during the year from students also shows how much she means to them! Personally, Elizabeth has been quite inspirational. Coming from a running family, herself having done the London marathon in 2007 and raising money for Acorns Childrens Hospice, she convinced me to give it a go. This was a huge challenge as I was overweight at the time and not a morning person (she runs in the morning,REALLY early). Anyway, a year later and hundreds of miles under my smaller waist I entered my first race with her and her folks and posted a decent time in the Forest of Dean half marathon. Something I'd never thought I'd do. She's now made me promise to the the London when I'm 40! Elizabeth is one of a kind. She brings out the best in people and is loved by many. To have her carry the torch would make a huge proportion of the Worcestershire population so proud, so please accept my nomination for Elizabeth.
