Lloyds TSB, proud Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, has selected pupils from Bournemouth School to be Olympic Torchbearers as part of National School Sport Week. . . Bournemouth School have used the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to offer a wide variety of sports to cater for everyone`s interest such as Fencing, Volleyball, Synchronised Swimming and Handball. They have also trained up hundreds of leaders to coach young volleyball, young netball, Sports leaders level 1 and 2 as well as doing the Sports Ambassadors scheme. As a result of this partnership their pupils have helped the wider community at swimming at Linwood special school, and running festivals for our link Primary Schools. Every pupil takes part in inter-house competitions, with 1253 girls enjoying sport and competing for their house.Bournemouth School use the Olympic values to do more sport, promoting friendship and respect.We have also got our pupils to lead assemblies to inspire everyone to achieve excellence in all areas of sports and life.Personal bests are achieved through the help and support of all and recognised on our achievers board, ranging from a world champion at Biathlon, to reaching target National Curriculum levels.
