Elen Evans

Elen was chosen as the sports personality of Meirionnydd in 2011. She has been capped for 37 times in National Women`s Welsh Rugby Team. She also trains children and young people to play rugby with the Dolgellau Rugby club and they enjoy these training sessions very much, and love playing for the club. These training sessions would not be enthusiastically attended if it was not for the super commitment and dedication that Elen shows to the young people, the Rugby Club of Dolgellau and the game of Women`s Rugby Union at a National and International level. She does all this with no remuneration and the community of Dolgellau feels that she is more than worthy to carry the Olympic Flame.
