Ellie's nomination story

Ellie is the most inspirational person that I know. Not only is she my sister, but my best friend and the person that I look up to. Ellie was a tennis player to a very high level when she was younger, but following a change of interest just 2 years ago to cycling,Ellie now is a very successful cyclist. Ellie has gone from never riding a track bike before, to being invited to Olmpic Development Programme at just 15 years of age. Ellie is not only a committed and dedicated cyclist, she has time and is excited to represent her school in various teams and has an immense desire to succeed in EVERYTHING that she does, with huge respect for others. Sport is just one aspect of Ellies life where she is driven to be the best she can. Ellie has a brother who has severe learning disabilities and epilepsy and cares for Ryan on a daily basis assisting with Ryans development and medication. Ellie's close family and friends are a huge part of her life and she helped to care for her young nephew while he was unwell in hospital on numerous occassions. Ellie is a massive part of Josh's life and Josh is always looking to copy Ellie's every move (he would do well to continue!). All of this, along with an ambition to produce exceptional results in school has made Ellie one of the most mature, respected young people not only in her school, but in her local community and elite sporting world. Ellie has an unquestionable desire to represent GB in an Olympic Games and torch bear for LOCOG and Newport.
