Ellie Blackley

Ellie Blackley began her volunteering journey on the Step into Sport Young Volunteers programme in October 2010. She quickly gained her 200 hours award having volunteered with her local tennis and rugby club as well as with the local Brownies and primary schools. Ellie went on to gain several leadership qualifications and used them to help run the local 'megacamps' during the school holidays. She has inspired lots of young people through her competent coaching style, helping them to improve their own performance and learn new skills. Ellie is bright young lady who recognises the value of volunteering and the benefits it has given to her, she has also acted as an advocate to other young people encouraging them to get involved and have a go at volunteering themselves. Ellie really delivers her personal best in her local community of Cockermouth.
