Through BP's relationship with the University of Aberdeen, BP is proud to nominate Eilidh McLeod. Eilidh achieved excellence with the British Development Ski Team, competing in the 2007 Youth Olympics and was tipped to represent the UK in the 2014 Winter Olympics until injury brought her burgeoning sporting career to a premature conclusion. Having sustained serious injuries in the All England Championships in Bormio, Italy, Eilidh spent a week in intensive care, underwent extensive surgery and was told she would never ski again. However, Eilidh's determination through two years of intensive rehabilitation saw her not only back on the piste again, but well on her way to her goal of competing again for the Scottish Alpine Ski Team. Eilidh, who lives in Aberdeen, combines her studies as a 2nd year Geography student with dedicating a large amount of time coaching, motivating and passing on her extensive knowledge to developing skiers, as Race Captain for the University Ski Club.
