Eddy Lowe

Eddy has been involved with the sport of Biathlon for nearly 50 years. He first raced for his Regimental team aged 18 and although he never competed internationally, was seconded by the Army as GBR Biathlon Team Manager from 1990 - 94, encompassing the OWG in Albertville and Lillehammer. It would have been easy to then concentrate on his Army career or the golf course, but Eddy has continued to devote all his spare time to Biathlon. He has been an elected Board Member of the BBU since its foundation in 1996 and has been the IBU qualified Technical Delegate for the British Championships for even longer. With no Northern Irish athletes currently in the BBU squads, Eddy is our "Irish" nomination.
