Ted Collins

I would like to nominate my husband Ted because he has devoted much of his life to voluntarily working for the church, and through it, helping others. He was on the leadership team of a Congregational church in Gloucestershire for over twenty years, where he headed up the pastoral care role. In addition he organised considerable giving, over a number of years, to a small, needy church in Albania, plus a church visit to appraise the situation there. He also oversaw the total renovation of the church building and attached schoolrooms. Since moving to Leicestershire in April 2010 to help care for the family, Ted has become very involved with two churches, becoming a member of the PCC at St John's, Hugglescote and being their representative for More for Gold, and joining the pro-vision committee at Margaret Street AOG. He also energetically promotes church unity in the Coalville area.
