Ed Ashley

Over the last few years, Ed has been training and running in various races, including two marathons and several half marathons and 20k races. Through sponsorship, he has raised hundreds and hundreds of pounds for different charities, notably The Christie and National Autistic Society. Aside from that though, he has inspired many of us (his friends) to get into running, or seriously pursue running. As his girlfriend, I could see the enjoyment he got from it and started running around 6 months ago. Ed also writes a blog which I know others follow and take information and inspiration from. I think it fitting that Ed carries the olympic torch on a run - another inspirational act - and I know he would love to be part of such a wonderful event.
