Edson Afonso

Edson Afonso has worked as reporter, writer, photographer and editor of several Brazilian newspapers and magazines since the early 70's. He has covered revolutions, numerous Formula 1 Grand Prix, World Championships in several sports, and different cultural activities. He is also a sportsman and lover of yachting, having participated in many international races, as well as having a keen interest in polo and equestrian jumping. Some of his most exciting professional moments occurred during the eight Olympic Games that he has worked at, as he brought their excitement to the people of Brazil. The London 2012 Olympic Games will be a high point in his career, particularly as he will have the honor of representing Brazil as an Olympic Torchbearer.
