I am a Street Pastor and Coordinator of Bideford Street Pastors. Since 2008, I have devoted myself to caring for people and supporting those in need. I was part of the formation of Harbour Bideford, a charity that supports the homeless. I also volunteer for the Road Safety Charity, RoSPA, but most of my time is spent attending to Street Pastor issues and supporting our night-time economy team. Street Pastors support vulnerable people, mainly during weekend nights, making a direct contribution to their clients wellbeing. This not only benefits individuals but the community as a whole with substantial reductions in anti-social behaviour, on street violence and criminal damage. I also serve on a small national working party responsible for the UK Development of Street Pastors. Bideford Street Pastors has been the Police Area Commanders Certificate in recognition of their achievements.
