The Olympic Games has always been the pinnacle of my aspiration. My earliest memory was of the closing ceremony of the 1984 Los Angeles games, and as a schoolboy the Motto faster, higher, stronger was etched in my mind as I dreamed of Olympic success. Progressing from schoolboy athletics, for a decade I dedicated my life to becoming an Olympian for Great Britain. In 2004 I got close, just 0.13 seconds outside the qualification mark as a sprint hurdler, just falling short of my ultimate goal. To carry the flame as a participant of the 2012 London Olympic Torch relay through adidas will be a life defining moment for me. I believe the Olympic spirit extends beyond sports and the privilege of being part of the London Olympics after coming so close as an thelete will truly be a lifelong Olympic dream come true.
