Duncan Graham

The Five Islands School Football Club would like to nominate Duncan Graham to be an Olympic torch bearer. Our club coaches are volunteers working with children from 3 to 16 years of age and Duncan has given his time for many years to coach players of all ages and abilities helping to improve the football skills of many local children. Duncan is totally committed to the club, he is able to use his coaching skills to run sessions which encourage new players and extend the skills of more experienced players and is an excellent role model for our club members. He is an active member of the club's committee and is always willing to help with organisation of club events. Duncan is a very modest man who quietly gets on with the job of football coach alongside his other voluntary work, this includes involvement with the local Judo club and serving as a member of the school's Governing Body. Duncan gives his time generously to support organisations which aim to encourage our children to reach their full potential and it is for this dedication and commitment to our Islands children and in recognition of the lasting value and differenced that he makes to local youth sports that we feel he should become an Olympic Torch bearer.
