Donald Campbell

Donald Campbell has been volunteering with Third Sector Hebrides for fifteen years. He has consistently been considerate in helping disabled and older members of the community. He has maintained elderly people's gardens for the last twenty years and driven them on outings all on a voluntary bases.Donald was a former member of the Stornoway Running Club and ran eight marathons and raised considerable amounts of money for charity in the process. At the age of seventy he is now in training to run another marathon to raise yet more money for charity. In doing this he has inspired some of his colleagues to join in the training, to get fit and run the marathon also. Donald is a good friend to many elderly people in Stornoway. He is a popular character who shows an interest in everyone he meets on the street. He would be worthy of this honour.
