Dominik Cizmek

Dominik Cizmek is an inspiring young man of 17 years. He graduated from Hauptschule just recently and has been a part of the German 'Rock Your Life!' coaching project since 2010. As a former coach he is a prime example of how people from underprivileged backgrounds make their way. Starting October 1 of this year, he found an apprenticeship with an IT company. But then from out of the blue, Dominik suffered a stroke. He spent two weeks in a coma, and nobody knew if he would recover. All the Rock Your Life! team could do was to be with him in this weary situation. But just as he got out of his settled ways with little perspective before, he got out of this crisis, too. Now on his way to full recovery, Dominik is keen to take control of his life again. He is an impressive example of someone who is determined to make his way, no matter the circumstance.

Rock Your Life! is a social enterprise founded by students. It develops positive relationships between underprivileged youth and students that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
