Dom is an amazing inspirational young man who has proved that nothing is impossible. During the Easter 2011 bank holiday weekend, when the rest of us were relaxing in deckchairs enjoying the hot weather, Dom ran 230 miles in 4 days from the Nestle offices in York to the Nestle offices in Croydon, raising thousands of pounds for Alzheimers. From his blog covering the experience: 'The way I see it, no matter how difficult or painful running for around 48 hours in 4 days might be, its nothing compared to what millions of people worldwide are forced to go through every day with Alzheimers, a condition that in my opinion is arguably more debilitating than any purely physical illness. I will try to remind myself that if through the simple act of running I might be able to help improve the quality of life of just one dementia sufferer and consquently their family, then the whole thing will instantly be worthwhile.' (http://9marathonsin4days.blogspot.com/) Dom brings the same indefatigable spirit and positive attitude to work - and, it seems, to everything he does in life. I can think of no-one more deserving of the honour of being part of the Olympic torch relay and hope that you will consider him as a candidate. The run ended up being 252 miles, just shy of 10 marathons, in 60hrs of running- averaging 63 miles per day
