YHN have an A2B (Access to Basketball) partnership with Newcastle Eagles, free tickets allow us to take our tenants & families along to a number of games in the season. At the games YHN staff deliver a rewards scheme for under 16s, this involves the children completing a number of activities relating to health & wellbeing & their community. This year`s focus was the London 2012 Olympics. Dominic & his family attended all of our A2B games & completed all of the tasks to an exceptionally high standard. He fully embraced the subject matter and provided thoughtful & detailed answers emphasising both his knowledge of the Olympics & his dedication to leading a healthy lifestyle. The A2B rewards scheme also incentivised participation in other sports & encouraged the children to try new activities. Dominic once again displayed his commitment by joining his school rugby and basketball teams. Dominic went on to play a key role in his team coming second in a regional basketball tournament organised by the Newcastle Eagles. Dominic`s dedication to the A2B project ensured that he collected the most rewards stickers and was crowned the eventual winner at the end of the A2B season. One of the prizes was for him & his family to represent YHN at an awards ceremony with Newcastle Eagles. Dominic is polite, friendly and always pushes himself to make his family proud. He is very passionate about sport & I know that something like this would mean a lot to both him & his family.
