Diane's nomination story

This nominee has battled through her teenage years with bullying at school and also battling crohns disease at the age of 15 years of age. After being diagnosed with crohns disease she also got told she had learning disabilities and autism. Although she has these medical conditions it hasnt stopped her from gaining great achievments including joining a disability badminton club that helped her gain the title of being Britains number 1 women in the Special Olympics Badminton. She represented Great Britain in Poland for the European Special Olympic Games in 2010 and gained a gold and 2 silver medals which adds to her collection of over 25 gold and silver medals. I believe all this hard work she puts in her badminton, from going to training 3 times a week and the pain she goes through everyday with her illness she deserves to walk with the olympic torch as this would make up for her trouble
