Carrying the Flame on | |

I have been with British Airways for 17 years, currently as a Cabin Services Director. I have worked on various aircraft including our great flagship; Concorde.I have always been a keen sportsperson, having played squash at senior county level . I am also a keen tennis player.
Three years ago I turned my attention to triathlon. I had never ridden a road bike and could just about swim 50 metres front-crawl. This year I took on a huge challenge to celebrate my 50th year; I competed in Ironman Austria, finishing in 13 hours 52 minutes! By doing this I also raised over £3000 for dreamflight a charity that sends disabled kids on the holiday of a lifetime. some of whom have since gone on to become Paralympians!I will be so proud to carry the Olympic flame to represent British Airways and celebrate what sport means to me!
