Dennis Scott

Dennis works tirelessly for his community, volunteering with disadvantaged young people in a S.P.O.D. (Small Pocket of Deprivation) area in Bangor Co. Down on a range of youth and community programmes. He devotes much of his time to developing community relations work promoting equity, diversity and interdependance through bringing young people from across the religous divide together in a safe, shared space where they can break down barriers and negative stereotypes. He regularly runs marathons and half marathons raising money for local charities in his area. All of this he does on a voluntary basis and with much enthusiasm and passion. This is why i believe he would be worthy of the honour of carrying the olympic torch, he truly is and continues to be an inspiration to all who know him.
