Denis's nomination story

(Commercial Aberdeen - Mackie's). Our sales director these past 25 years, is a must for the honour of carrying the Olympic torch. A boundless sports enthusiast all his life, a former Cove Rangers football player, and until 3 years ago, a hyper-active Aberdeenshire cricket player, and golfer, when suddenly Muscular Dystrophy, made him totally wheelchair dependant. But his enthusiasm for Mackies and sport still knows no bounds. Further, he is hugely respected for his work with the Oldmeldrum Rotary Club and his leadership within the Grampian Foord Forum. Last year, despite his excruciating disability, he was the driving force of an open day at Westertown, that drew 7K visitors and raised £45K for Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Attached support from Rotary colleagues and staff signatures from Mackies supporting the Nomination!
