Deb's nomination story

Deborah was diagnosed with Bowel cancer at 29 and has continually fought it by Opening her own fund raising committee for Cancer Research! In the future I hope to... raise awareness of various cancers that are easily treatable IF caught in time. Awareness needs to be raised with Joe Public who should be encouraged to listen to what their bodies are saying&also GP's&medical staff so that diseases can be picked up early&treated successfully - minimising NHS costsreducing treatment plans but more importantly saving lives. I hope to raise substantial funds for 2 charities that helped my personal cancer journey CRUK & Beating Bowel Cancer. I hope that people will not be scared of the word Cancer through my efforts able to talk openly about their own hopes&fears. I hope that we can come together as a community to listen to learn to laugh and most improtantly to live.
