Debbie is the sort of person for whom not only is the glass half full but she will be looking at ways to top it up. Hampered for many years by severe epilepsy and bouts of clinical depression she remains someone from whom those around her draw constant inspiration. Debbie has never chosen the easy path, doing a PhD part-time into child sex offending whilst holding down a part-time job and volunteering in various local youth projects she is also known in the workplace as someone who always co-ordinates efforts for Comic Relief on campus each year as well as being the focal point for collecting and organising cards for people's birthdays and leaving do's. I've never known her to ask for approval or thanks but that has made me feel that she deserves something special as a recognition of her tireless devotion to those around her. So often in life people take giving people for granted, this would be a chance for one of them to get back a sense of the feeling they so often instil in others, to be loved and appreciated.
