Dawn really is a local hero! She is a foster career and looks after children who need her love and support as well as looking after he own children. She has been a foster career for years and has helped many children throughout that time. The children that live with Dawn have issues and have had a tough life so far, but Dawn always manages to steer them in the right direction, no matter how hard that may be and give them a happy and loving home to call their own. As well as looking after foster children she also works at a local youth centre, helping to teach, support and just have fun with local kids, from ages 11 to 18. She takes them away for weekends and days out and they always tell me how lucky i am to have ''such a cool mum''. If this wasnt enough help to the local community she takes part in out Community Watch, helping to make sure our area is a pleasent and safe place to live in. Dawn also organises a yearly street party. These are the highlight of everyones summer and really brings the whole street together no matter what their differences. This requires such hard work for her and a lot of organisation and panic but she still volunteers, and gives any profit made from it to local charities. To carry the Olypmic Torch would be a great honour for her, she's an avidi runner and takes part in local races every weekend. She recently completed 5 marathons in 5 weeks and really has a passion for her sport. As you can see Dawn REALLY helps the local area for everyone
